Waiver Programs

Erie Independence House participates in various PA Medicaid Waiver Programs. These Waiver Programs offer services to individuals over the age of 18 with physical disabilities. The following programs are available:

Community Services Program for Persons with Physical Disabilities (CSPPPD) (OBRA and Independence)
CommCare (OBRA and Independence) - (Traumatic Brain Injury - TBI)
Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA)
Community Transition Services (OBRA, Independence and CommCare)
Attendant Care/Act 150

The services included in the above programs are:

Information and Referral
Advocacy
Community Integration (including Skills Training & Peer Counseling)
Personal Assistance Services (Agency or Consumer Directed)
Personal Assistance Services (CLSA - night /3rd shift hours)
Respite (Agency or Consumer Directed or CLSA)
Transportation
Assistance with environmental modifications
Assistance with obtaining Assistive Technology/specialized medical equipment and supplies
Coordination and assistance with relevant/necessary therapies/nursing services
Habilition and support
Coordination of Personal Emergency Response System (PERS)
Specialized services are available including training and encouragement which enable a person to acquire, regain, improve or maximize their skills and abilities.

Through these programs our mission/goal is to promote independence and encourage personal growth. In addition our experienced and trained staff members, provide empowerment to our clients with all updates/changes affecting them on local, state, and federal levels. They also provide our clients with excellent personal care and numerous other services.

Our clients have flexibility in scheduling of their Personal Care Attendants to meet all their needs.
