As part of its commitment to advancing the independence of people with disabilities, Erie Independence House presents two awards annually in recognition of exceptional achievement or effort.
The Lee R. Schaaf Award honors an individual for outstanding personal and professional achievement that promotes the rights of people with disabilities.
The Advocate of Independent Living Award honors a business or organization that promotes increased independence for people with disabilities.
